Szabolcs Blazsek has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Corvinus University in Budapest (Hungary) (2001) and is a Doctor of Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2007).
He has worked as a University School Assistant at the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2001-2007), as a Doctor Assistant Professor and Professor at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of Universidad de Navarra (2007-2012) and as a full time Professor at Universidad Francisco Marroquín School of Business (since 2012).
Szabolcs has several publications in academic journals: Journal of Econometrics; Economics Letters; Macroeconomic Dynamics; Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics & Econometrics; Applied Economics; Applied Economics Letters; The European Journal of Finance; Journal of Econometric Methods; Economic Systems; Management Decision; Journal of Applied Economics.
In addition, he has presented his research papers at several organized scientific conferences, in Antigua, Budapest, Istanbul, Konstanz, Luxembourg, Madrid, Orleans, Oxford, Pamplona, Valencia and Guatemala City.
Szabolcs has made research visits to the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences of the University of Maastricht (Holland) (1999), GREQAM of the University of Aix-Marseille (France) (2003), INSEE-CREST (Paris) (2004- 2005) and at the Central Bank of Hungary (2010).
