Adrián Osvaldo Ravier (Buenos Aires, 1978) is an economist, specialized in monetary theory, the study of economic cycles and the history of economic thought. He has a PhD in Applied Economics from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid (2009), under the direction of professor Jesús Huerta de Soto. He has been a student at ESEADE where he obtained a Master in Economics and Business Administration (2004). He obtained a BA in Economics from the School of Economics and Business Administration in Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires (2002).
Currently, he teaches at the School of Economics, Law and Agronomy in Universidad Nacional de La Pampa (UNLPAM, Argentina); in the graduate program and the Master in Economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and OMMA; in the MBA at the Edinburgh Business School (EBS); in the Master and PhD in Economics at the Swiss Management Center University (SMCU) and for the PhD in Business Administration at Escuela Superior de Economía y Administración de Empresas (ESEADE).
He is invited frequently to present at different international congresses, symposiums and colloquia.
She has a BA in Hispanic Philology from Universidad del País Vasco and a PhD in Literature from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) with Summa Cum Laude Honors withthe thesis “El mecenazgo literario de las jerarquías eclesiásticas en la época de los Reyes Católicos”. As a part of her investigations she has been a research guest at City University in New York and Princeton. She has participated in several projects and investigation groups, as well as congresses and international seminars. Her publications address patronage, clientelism and XV century literature. She has taught medieval poetry, XV century literature, tales throughout the centuries, Spanish as a second language, sociolinguistics, etc. classes at a BA and masters level. She works as an editor and translator. Currently she works as a coordinator in the ITA Program at Universidad Francisco Marroquín.
Alberto Benegas Lynch holds a PhD in Economics and a PhD in Management Sciences. He is President of the Economic Sciences Section of the National Academy of Sciences, a member of the National Academy of Economic Sciences, both in Argentina and a corresponding member of the National Academy of Economics of Uruguay. He is the author of 22 books, in addition to 2 in co-authorship and 10 in collaboration. He was a professor at the University of Buenos Aires and taught in five courses: Economics, Law, Engineering, Sociology and at the History Department of Philosophy and Letters. He was a professor for the PhD in Economics at Universidad Católica Argentina.
He was Director of the Doctoral Department of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of La Plata and, for 23 years, Rector of ESEADE where he is Professor Emeritus. He was an economic adviser to the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, the Argentine Chamber of Commerce, the Argentine Rural Society and the Inter-American Trade and Production Council. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Economic Affairs (London) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Mont Pelerin Society. He is an Associate Scholar of the Cato Institute (Washington DC) and the Ludwig von Mises Institute (Auburn). Dr. Benegas is a member of the Board of the Institute of Methodology of Social Sciences at the National Academy of Moral and Political Sciences in Buenos Aires. He received honorary degrees from universities in Argentina and abroad and is president of the Academic Council of the Libertad y Progreso Foundation in Argentina and of the Editorial Board of the Argentine branch of Union Editorial of Madrid.
He is also a member of the Academic Councils of the Corrientes Freedom Club, the Federalism and Liberty Foundation in Tucumán, the Foundation for Progress in Santiago de Chile, the Consultative Council of the Center on Global Prosperity of the Independent Institute in Washington DC , the Advisory Board of Advances in Austrian Economics in New York, the Scientific Council of the European Journal of Political Economy in Madrid, a member of the National Association of Scholars in Princeton, the Institut Turgot in Brussels and a member of the International Council of the Center for Studies and Development in Montevideo.
PhD in Architecture (2013), Alberto Galindo combines his teaching with professional work at his own studio. He has been a professor at Universidad Europea since 2004 in the areas of Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering as a specialist in architectural composition, graphic expression, descriptive geometry and history and theory of Industrial Design.
In the area of university management, he has been the coordinator of final degree projects and professional practice as well as director and teacher of several courses at Fundación COAM since 2007.
His professional work focuses in the field of industrial design: modular housing architecture, interior design and product design and in architecture: refurbishment and real estate management. He has also been a collaborator in collective housing projects and public buildings, as well as winner of various awards and acknowledgements in architecture and design competitions.

From 2003 to 2006, he worked in the Cultural Heritage Program at Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, first in Madrid, later Jerusalem and then again Madrid. From 1999 to 2002, he was a professor at UFM in Guatemala, and General Secretary in the extension in the city of Quetzaltenango. Between 1998 and 1999, he was responsible of the archeological deposit of the Louvre Museum, under the direction of Genevieve Bresc. From 1989 to 2012 he participated in numerous archeological projects in Spain, France, Italy, Oman and Yemen and Iraq.
Alejandro Gómez has a PhD in History from Torcuato Di Tella University, a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago and is a Professor of History at the University of Belgrano in Argentina. He is a Fulbright Scholar and received a Fulbright Scholar in Residence from the College of Coastal Georgia. Dr. Gómez is a Professor of Economic History and History of Enterprises at UCEMA and a visiting professor at UFM in Guatemala. He is the author of several books: Creators of Wealth, Reflections on the History of Argentina, José del Valle: Politician of the Independence of Central America, The American Homeland of José del Valle and Juan Bautista Alberdi: Pillar of the Progress of Argentina, among others.
PhD in Prehistory Sciences from the University of Perpignan, France, BA in Archeology and Prehistory from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.
Since 1997 she has been deputy director at the Museum of Regional Prehistory, in the Ville de Menton (France), with the following functions: study and conservation of archaeological material, collaboration with international teams (Italy, Ireland, Monaco, USA) in the analysis of bone remains, responsible for coordinating temporary exhibitions and the creation and organization of pedagogical circuits, conferences and site visits, various implications in the development and promotion of local regional archeology.
She has participated in several excavations in charge of faunas and bone remains, for the company ArchéoSystem (Madrid), as well, as for various missions of the CNRS (France) and the Museum of Natural History of Paris. Author of several scientific publications in the field.

Currently, she is Director of Teacher Training at Universidad Internacional de Valencia in charge of the design, implementation and evaluation of the Teacher Training Plan.

Ana Luengo has a degree in Architecture from the University of North London, a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Évora, and a Doctorate in Landscape Architecture from the same university – summa cum laude cum laude -, a Master in Gardening and Landscaping (U.P.M) and a Master in Management and Maintenance of Parks and Public Spaces (CSA Antonio Camuñas Foundation).
She has been President of the European Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA Europe) and is now a member of the Executive Committee, as well as a member of the Spanish National Committee of ICOMOS, of the International Committee of Cultural Landscapes and Historical Gardens (ICOMOSIFLA), of the Historic Gardens Foundation (United Kingdom), among other institutions.
She combines her teaching activity in various Spanish universities (Universidad Europea de Madrid, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, Universidad de Granada, etc.) and foreign (Architectural Association (London), Katholik Universiteit (Leuven)) with extensive cultural work which includes courses and seminars on various topics related to landscape art.

Andrés Marroquín is a professor of economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. He earned a B.A. in economics at UFM, and a Ph.D. at George Mason University. His research has been on culture, entrepreneurship, and development in rural and semi-rural communities in Guatemala, Colombia, and Haiti, and he has studied institutions and economic performance in mineral-abundant societies like Botswana. His research has been published in Population and Development Review, Journal of Bioeconomics, Scientometrics, Econ Journal Watch, Journal of Economic Issues, and Research in Economic Anthropology, among others. Astrid Ayala has a PhD in Economics from the University of Navarra. She is a full-time professor for the School of Business at Universidad Francisco Marroquín teaching various courses in the area of economics and finance at the undergraduate and master’s level. She is the Director of the Legal Master LLM in Finance for the school of Business at Universidad Francisco Marroquín.
Her articles have been published in the Journal of the Spanish Economic Association (SERIEs), The European Journal of Finance, Economic Systems, Journal of Applied Economics, Applied Economics, Applied Financial Economics, Applied Economics Letters, among others. Dr. Ayala is the author of a book chapter edited by Palgrave Macmillan as well as co-founder and co-director of the Guatemalan Econometric Study Group (GESG). She has participated in various seminars, conferences, and lectures in the United States, Europe and Guatemala.
Her research interests are: Quantitative macroeconomics (economic growth, business cycle, public finances, economic convergence, unemployment, exchange rate, comparative economy, capital markets and real economy). Financial econometrics (distribution of returns, volatility models). Specific topics in applied econometrics (dynamic conditional scoring models, copulas, state space models, non-stationary time series, structural breaks, unit root tests, fractional integration).

She is a professor of Architectural Projects in the School of Architecture, Engineering and Design from Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM). From 2005 to 2016 she has done several interventions in the restoration and suitability of the Banco de España building in Zaragoza, architectural landmark by the P.G.O.U. of Zaragoza.
Among her interests are the interventions of historical structures and studies that go forth in the knowledge, reflection and diffusion of several disciplines that influence the restoration of buildings and landmarks both for professional development and to increase individual and public awareness.

He performs his professional activity in his own office, carrying out various building projects, as well as dictating expert opinions in urban planning and real estate valuation, collaborating with various companies in the area.

Carolina Guerrero has a PhD in Political Science from Universidad Central de Venezuela. She is a Professor at Universidad Simón Bolivar (Caracas, Venezuela) where she coordinates the postgraduate studies in Political Science and was the co-creator of the area of Political Theory. Her research focuses on political liberalism and republicanism from three stances: political philosophy, history of ideas and political theory, inquiring also in the critique of neo-Marxist political thought, the return of politics, radical democracy and event theories in politics. She was a researcher for the History of Ideas Unit at the Institute of Advanced Studies, IDEA; of the Rómulo Gallegos Latin American Studies Center, CELARG, and of the Manuel García-Pelayo Foundation. She is the author of more than 40 academic publications. In 2017 she received the Charles L. Stillman Academic Prize from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala for her written essay.
Celso Cerezo Bregni is a businessman, academic and social entrepreneur. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, a Master’s in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a PhD in Urban Planning from Universidad Francisco Marroquín. His doctoral thesis examines the revitalization of the Historic Center of Guatemala City, where he highlights the need to reformulate governance in this urban setting.
As a businessman, he is co-founder and director of different companies, mainly in real estate and telecommunications. As a social entrepreneur, he is co-founder of Wichiteca, a unified catalog of various academic libraries in Guatemala.
He has taught different undergraduate and master’s courses at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, where he served as director of the Engineering in Administration Science program, as well as academic director of the master’s program.
In the field of research, he is interested in and writes about topics such as economics, cryptocurrencies and urban planning, motivated by the improvement of society based on innovation and the principles of freedom.

Eric Clifford Graf is a professor of literature at Universidad Francisco Marroquín. He has a PhD in Spanish language and literature from the University of Virginia (1997). He has worked at the University of Virginia, the College of William & Mary, the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Smith College, Wesleyan University, and Kershner Trading Group. He specializes in medieval and early modern Spain, the history of the novel, Renaissance studies, and literary, political, cultural, and economic theory. He is author of the book Cervantes and Modernity (Bucknell University Press, 2007). Esther Benzaquén is a Doctor in Philosophy of Science from U.N.E.D (2020). In addition to conceptual philosophical thinking, she has knowledge of History of Science, Logic, Scientific Methodology, and Mathematical Thought.
She has worked as a Philosophy teacher in high school. Her interests are directed towards new discoveries or scientific paradigm changes and their social repercussions, with the ultimate goal of obtaining a unified framework of knowledge in which sciences and humanities collaborate. Currently, she conducts research on new studies of consciousness and its relationship with psychology, medicine and also with social issues such as human freedom or the introduction of artificial intelligence in different social areas. Fernando Hernández Fradejas is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Criminal Law and History of Law at the Faculty of Law of Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. Prior to joining SWRC, he was an Associate Professor at The Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA) at University of Malaya (2006-2017). Subsequently, he was a senior lecturer in Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (1993-1997) and lecturer at Universidad Francisco Marroquin (1995-1996).
Expert in different areas of research such as economics (macroeconomics, economic modeling, and policy modeling), mathematics (geometry and calculus), national security issues (terrorism, violence, war), natural disasters evaluation (Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and floods), technology (drones and UAVs).

Bachelor of History, researcher, teacher and doctor in Latin American Studies by UNAM. Throughout his academic performance he has consolidated the following fields of expertise: socio – political history of Central America and Chiapas during the nineteenth century, history of the South Border and Mexico – Central America relations, and history of Central American socio – political processes of the second half of the 20th century. He has coordinated several academic work groups.
He is the sole author, co-author and coordinator of eighteen research books. He is also the author and co-author of fifteen book chapters and nine articles in specialized magazines. Most of his works have been published by prestigious publishers and institutions such as UNAM, Fondo de Cultura Económica, Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, El Colegio de México and CIDE. He is also co-author of four primary and secondary textbooks.

Marion Popenoe Hatch has a B.A. in Anthropology and a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Berkeley, California. She is one of the most recognized archaeologists in Guatemala not only for her great contribution to the knowledge of the ancient populations of the Guatemalan territory, but also for being a pioneer in the formation of many Guatemalan students who have dedicated themselves to this particular study.
The contributions of Dr. Hatch to Guatemalan archaeology have been fundamental in the Central Highlands and the South Coast. Currently there is no better reference in terms of the study of ancient populations that inhabited those regions, especially related to their ceramic evidence. In the Pacific region, she has worked in the following sites: Monte Alto, La Blanca, El Bálsamo, Salinas Tilapa, Marinalá, El Baúl and Tak’alik Ab’aj, where she worked as a ceramist since 1988.
Author of articles published in Guatemalan archaeological journals and book chapters published in Guatemala and the United States. Winner of 13 recognitions to research work on Guatemalan archaeology: two granted by the University of California at Berkeley and 11 granted in Guatemala by different academic institutions. He has taught philosophy courses at Universidad Rafael Landívar, Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, Universidad del Istmo and Universidad de La Sabana (Colombia).
From 1998 he works as a professor of logic, introduction to philosophy and ethics in the School of Economics and Business at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and as a professor of ethics in Escuela de Gobierno (Guatemala). He has published several books and articles and has been president of the Guatemalan Association of Philosophy. From 2011 he organizes the National Olympics of Philosophy. Dr. Nicholas Virzi has a PhD in Political Science and Sociology from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. He holds a Master’s in Economics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a double degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in International Economic Relations and Political Science. On that account, Dr. Virzi is an economist, political expert, and sociologist, with an integral vision of political economy.

Dr. Pradillo y Esteban is a contemporary multi-faceted plastic artist. In addition, he is a historian and develops an assiduous curatorial work for institutions in his hometown. From his childhood he showed an enormous interest in the practice of drawing and sculpture, elaborating a naive surrealist world. His formation is self-taught. In 1987 he graduated in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Alcalá de Henares, and in 2003 he obtained a PhD in History.

Peter Calcagno Earned his B.S. in Economics and History from Hillsdale College and Ph.D. in Economics from Auburn University. He is currently a Professor of Economics at the College of Charleston, and Directs of the Center for Public Choice & Market Process, an undergraduate free market center. His primary areas of research are in applied microeconomics specifically public choice economics and political economy. The role of political institution on state fiscal policy, economic development and entrepreneurship. Her research focuses on how religion interacts with economic performance and the political and social behavior of individuals and institutions across societies. McCleary studies how religious beliefs and practices influence productivity, economic growth, and the maintenance of political institutions such as democracy. McCleary has worked on Central America for decades. She was a Fulbright Research Fellow in Guatemala in 1994. Robert Murphy is a research assistant professor at the Free Market Institute. He earned his B.A. in economics from Hillsdale College and his Ph.D. in economics from New York University. Vicente E. Caballo holds a PhD in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and currently serves as Professor of Psychopathology at the University of Granada (Spain).

Virgil H. Storr is an Associate Professor of Economics at George Mason University. He is also the Senior Director of Academic & Student Programs at the Mercatus Center. He holds a PhD in Economics from George Mason University and he did his undergraduate work at Beloit College. His research on Austrian economics, culture and economic development, and economic sociology has appeared in journals such as Public Choice, Rationality & Society, Journal of Urban Affairs, Cambridge Journal of Economics, American Journal of Economics and Sociology and Review of Austrian Economics.
