Architect from Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of Madrid (1990). He has a PhD in Architecture from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid since June 2004. His doctoral thesis obtained a Cum Laude Honor and the Excellence Award from the university. The thesis gave forth to its publication in two volumes by the Madrid City Hall and the Fundación Caja Madrid in 2006 and 2007 obtaining extraordinary mentions in the Urbanism, Architecture and Public Work from the Madrid City Hall.
He has been responsible for the Servicio Histórico del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid
(02/2002 a 08 /2011) and director of the Architecture Institute of the Foundation of the same organization (12/2008 a 08/2011). During these years he has directed and coordinated numerous investigation projects like: Madrid Architecture. Periphery, XX Century Architecture in Spain. Central Zone, among the communal initiative INTERREG III B Southeast, Architectural Archives and the consequent collection Legados and other records for the Fundación Docomomo Ibérico in which he has been part of between 2003 and 2011.
Among his most recent work is the scientific coordination of the book Palacios de
Madrid promoted by the Community of Madrid and Fundación Caja Madrid.
Between 2005 and 2011 he was a professor- collaborator-doctor for the Escuela Politécnica Superior de la Universidad San Pablo CEU, but since 2011/2012 he has centered his activity in
Universidad Europea de Madrid, as Director of the Urbanism and History of Architecture Department between 2011-2014 and most recently as the Academic Director for the Graduate School of Architecture, Engineering and Design. Since June 27, 2013 he is Associate Professor of the course History of Architecture.
