Manuel Pulido


Born in Badajoz, España, 1977, he has a PhD in Hispanic Philology from Universidad de Extremadura (Cáceres, Spain) and a BA and Humanities from the same university.  He has a Diploma in European Studies from University of Kent (Canterbury, R. U.) and more than 300 hours   of digital marketing training in several institutions and Spanish corporations.

Author of several articles and books in Philology, he has been a profesor and an investigator for institutions like Universidad de Extremadura (España), Fundación Residencia de Estudiantes (within the campus of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Madrid), the Instituto de Patrimonio Histórico Español (Ministry of Culture, Madrid), Fundación Francisco Giner de los Ríos (Madrid), Universidad de Málaga (Spain), Universidad Internacional de la Rioja (Spain), University of Kent (Canterbury, R. U.), University of Birmingham (R. U.), New York University (EE. UU.) and Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

As a consultor in social media marketing, he has worked with several clients in the Spanish hotel and restaurant tourist industry.  He is one of the editors of the event-marketing book by Mario Schumacher, Blogtrip Costa Blanca: un viaje a las emociones (Amazon, 2013).

Currently, besides sporadic collaborations in Guatemalan media about social and political issues, he is the Director of the Escuela de Posgrado at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, combining his two passions: academics and digital marketing.
