Doctor in Social and Cultural Anthropology and Bachelor of Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM).
He is currently a Professor of Anthropology at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Citizen Spokesperson and councilor at the Provincial Council of Málaga, Co-founder and President of the Institute for Studies on Ethics and Social Responsibility of Organizations (INNOVAÉTICA), Co-founder and Secretary General of the Center for Research on Totalitarianisms and Social Movements (CITMA) and director of the publishing house Última Línea.
He was a professor of Sociology at UAM (1997-98) and of Social Anthropology (2006-2015), Training and Research Coordinator of Fundación Cideal (2000-2004), vice secretary of Instituto de Estudios Panibéricos – Isdiber (2012-2015) and director of Sepha publishing house (2004-2015).
He has been a coordinator for the Master’s in Management for Sustainable Development (1999-2000) that UAM taught in Guatemala with the Chi Pixab ‘Institute in Quetzaltenango and with Rafael Landívar University in Cobán and coordinator of the Module for Cooperation in Development in the Master of International Solidarity Action of Universidad Carlos III in Madrid (2000-2005). In addition to teaching postgraduate courses at Spanish universities such as Autónoma de Madrid, Complutense, La Coruña, colombian universities of Antioquia and Manizales and the Guatemalan San Carlos, Rafael Landívar and Francisco Marroquín.
Author of several complete books, shared and in coordination, he has worked in human rights and development cooperation in Central America and South America.
