His professional career has elapsed between the cultural and educational sectors. After starting at firms such as Sotheby’s, CaixaForum Madrid and FMR, he joined the Instituto de Empresa, where he was responsible for implementing and developing the Humanities academic program. As a result of this executive position, he has developed his activity in the three areas of the academic world (management, research and teaching).
His research and his teaching are characterized by both being interdisciplinary exercises (combining several areas of knowledge) and macrohistoric (in which a long-term historical process is analyzed). His publications have stood out for their interdisciplinary approach, emphasizing the transfer of knowledge in the Modern Age. His classes are a long-term exercise, whose common thread is a common element (for example commerce) through which the interactions and innovations of the different great civilizations are studied.
