Enrique Castaño


PhD in Architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in May 1989 with the doctoral thesis: “Arquitectura y Música: Policoralidad en la Capilla Real del Alcázar de Madrid”,  Cum Laude Honor Distinction granted unanimously.

From 2004 to 2011 he was accredited professor by ACAP in Universidad Europea de Madrid.

He has led several groups and investigation projects and tutored various doctoral theses as well as scientific publications in magazines and books such as: 2016 “La transferencia de resultados como reto del ReUSO”.  Investigation and reflections of the Reuse of built heritage: editor Luis Palmero, Valencia UPV, pp 29-34, ISBN 978-84-9048-537-8;  2016 El arquitecto, de la tradición al siglo XXI, Docencia e investigación en expresión gráfica arquitectónica presented in the XVI International Congress of Architectural Graphic Expression in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Spain and in 2015 The Graphic documentary sources in the restoration. Past and future.


Currently, he is Subdirector and Associate Professor of the School of Architecture in Universidad de Alcalá in Spain.
