Bélen Gómez Navarro


Architect from Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid in 1985 with a major in Construction and Urbanism.  PhD from Universidad Europea de Madrid in 2015.  She combines her professional career in the area of heritage restauration with residential and nonresidential architecture since 1985.


As a professional she has carried on several studies and projects in built heritage such as: the  Estudio Piloto de Patrimonio Etnográfico del Pirineo Aragonés, Sector Occidental, in charge of the  Diputación General de Aragón. [1990‐1994]; the Plan Especial de Protección del Conjunto Urbano de Alquézar (Huesca) Bien de Interés Cultural, in charge of the Diputación General de Aragón. [1990‐1996]; the restauration of the tower of the Iglesia de Santa María de Uncastillo (Zaragoza), Architectural Landmark, in charge of the Gobierno de Aragón and the Ayuntamiento de
Uncastillo. [2003‐2006] ACCESIT DE RESTAURACIÓN where she obtained the GARCÍA MERCADAL Award granted by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Aragón in 2007.


From 2005 to 2016 she has done several interventions in the restoration and suitability of the Banco de España building in Zaragoza, architectural landmark by the P.G.O.U. of Zaragoza.

Among her interests are the interventions of historical structures and studies that go forth in the knowledge, reflection and diffusion of several disciplines that influence the restoration of buildings and landmarks both for professional development and to increase individual and public awareness.
