Doctor in Sociology and Political Sciences from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. Master in International Business from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, Master in Financial Markets and Asset Management from the Institute of Stock Market Studies, Master in Conflict Resolution and Mediation from University de León in Spain.
He has worked in the field of economic and political analysis in organizations such as the Comité Coordinador de Asociaciones Agrícolas, Comerciales, Industriales y Financieras (CACIF), Secretaría de Integración Económica para Centroamérica (SIECA), the World Bank and the Central American Institute of Fiscal Studies. He currently works in financial consulting and philosophical coaching.
His areas of interest are philosophy, history and finance. Among his published books are El Comienzo and La Locura es Racional on the history of Guatemala during its civil war. Reviser of articles in various journals, his publications focus on competitiveness, international finance and macroeconomic aspects.
