Federico von Borstel


Dr. von Borstel has a PhD in Educational Planning and Development from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada with minors in Project Design and Management and Computer Applications in Education.  He has a Master of Science in Architecture from the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California, a Master of Arts in Intercultural Education from the University of the Americas in Puebla, Mexico and a Master of Fine Arts from Allende Institute in Guanajuato, Mexico.

He was a Fulbright Senior Scholar and Fulbright Senior Specialist Scholar for the United States Information Agency (USIA) from 2000 to 2007.  Visiting Professor for Universidad Europea de Madrid, Spain and most recently visiting Scholar in the Department of Historical Heritage in the Kyoto University of Art and Design in Japan.  Currently he is the Director of the Twin Peaks Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.

Esteemed professor of various courses in Research, Architecture, Art Theory and History, Studio Arts, Education and Latin American Studies, Dr. von Borstel is the author of several selected publications, research and development projects and his painting exhibits are widely recognized abroad.
