José Daniel Barquero


Dr. Barquero started his professional career in the United States, in the cities of Boston, New York City and Washington in 1988, at the side of one of the most important Americans of the last century, as Life magazine declared him in its number “The 100 most important American people of the last century”.  Dr. Edward Bernays, his mentor, was the pioneer worldwide of Public Relations, advisor of some Presidents of the United States of America and some international and national businesses.  

He obtained his Ph.D at the International University of Catalonia, with the research thesis: How to avoid the clash of cultures and civilizations – Multicultural Public Relations to obtain the alliance of civilizations.  Barquero also has several other degrees and academic honors: Executive MBA from the University of Barcelona, Expert in International Public Relations from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations and bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Barcelona.

Dr. Barquero is an Academic at the Real Academia de Ciencias Económica y Financieras of Spain (RACEF).

Because of his career as a researcher, he has been considered one of the European pioneers in the area of social sciences in the scientific discipline of Corporate Public Relations, and he was the first to apply that discipline to Human Rights, Multiculturalism, Finance, Economics and Marketing.

Thanks to his research and contributions to public relations, both academically and in the business area, he has been awarded several Doctor Honoris Causa all over the world.  He is Honour Member of the Harvard Business School Club in Barcelona, as stated by the European Superior Council of Doctors and Honoris Causa Doctors.
