Ainara Herrán


She has a BA in Hispanic Philology from Universidad del País Vasco and a PhD in Literature from  Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) with Summa Cum Laude Honors withthe thesis “El mecenazgo literario de las jerarquías eclesiásticas en la época de los Reyes Católicos”.  As a part of her investigations she has been a research guest at City University in New York and Princeton.  She has participated in several projects and investigation groups, as well as congresses and international seminars.  Her publications address patronage, clientelism and XV century literature.  She has taught medieval poetry, XV century literature, tales throughout the centuries, Spanish as a second language, sociolinguistics, etc. classes at a BA and masters level.  She works as an editor and translator.  Currently she works as a coordinator in the ITA Program at Universidad Francisco Marroquín.
